Check-in and check-out times are a quite stolid.
Located near two subway stations, short cab ride from the train station, nice views of the Palace.
Sub-standard, expensive breakfast
very close to hanzomon station clean, modern
if you unlucky like us you get a bad view of the road, so make sure you ask for a good view.
Excellent location close to the city center, subway entrance is quite close
Very cosy and elegantly designed room with spectacular view over Imperial Palace and Marunouchi skyscrapers; good value for the money
Double room but would have been narrow for two; cable LAN okay but with restrictions for downloading large files
Perfect location, very good value for money. Helpful staff. Lovely spot near the moat and Imperial palace. So easy for the metro network, would certainly stay there again. Safe / quiet area.
No english speaking tv channels, even paid TV only had one English option. Normally TV isnt even a consideration but with jet lag a bit of TV would have helped when awake a 4am
This is a wonderful hotel, beautifully appointed and well-positioned, with easy access to the Hanzoman metro line, the Imperial Palace and the peaceful Chiyoda area. We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts, kind and polite staff and the hotel's welcoming attitude to foreign guests. It was our Tokyo home away from home! Thanks very much Grand Arc Hanzoman :))
Cleanliness and comfort. View of Tokyo Tower for New Year
The staff was extremely helpful and their level of English was great. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody!
The biggest advantage of this hotel is location. It is just 3 min from subway station and easy access to every side of the city. We were walkin from Ginza just around a park and it tooks 40 min. My first great impression was an amazing view for Chyoda park and Tokyo skyline. Room was not a biggest one but well worthy for a price and comfortable enough to spent there whole week. Staff was speaking English well and didn't have a proble to help me with any advice or request. It will be definatelly my choice on next trip to Tokyo.
We were able to use public transportation to get to the hotel however it is highly recommended to travel light if the intent is to use public transportation to/from airport as there are several ramps of stairs to exit the metro station and no elevator or escalator. The hotel is neat and well kept. Staff is very helpful and courteous. The room we reserved (large single for two people) was small but very comfortable and had all that we needed. The hotel is located in a quiet district; the only main attraction next to it is the Imperial Palace – which is also a popular jogging place. Getting to Ginza is a 20 minute walk. All main attractions can be reached with the metro line. The metro station is literally 2 minutes away.
The Japanese room we stayed in was fairly big @ 28 sq.m and good thing is it has 2 wash basins, one in the bathroom and the other outside the bathroom which made it very convenient. Very few hotels have this. The futons were very comfortable with clean sheets everyday. We stayed 8 nights. The breakfast is not buffet style like in other hotels but served set of either American, Continental or Japanese breakfast. Not very filling but you can ask for more toast and free refill of coffee. Breakfast is very tasty though. Free wired internet is a plus point as we absolutely need internet connection. I am surprised to get a bagful of internet stuff like modem, cables and power plug from the reception and you have to fix them on your own. There are instructions in the bag too. Toiletries (lots of them, they never stinge) are mainly of Kose brand which my wife adores. You will never find all these plus good room size at y11,700 in Shinjuku hotels.
Always have to change Metro line as there is only 1 line at Hanzomon Station. Sometimes we would walk to Nagatacho Station about 10 minutes away. It has more lines there.
- Good location - Nice view from the room - No frills, but clean and comfortable
- Breakfast choice not great
helpfull staff - nice location - clean
cannot exchange money - pay for internet pc and printing
The room is very clean and they have vending machines on every floors. The location is also quite convenient nearby the Hanzomon station.
The room is minimalist space wise. There is still smell of smoke in non smoking room.
